Zach Wahls presented a very strong, and effective speech for gay marriage rights in Idaho. Wahls speech proved to catch the attention and emotion of many audience members, while also effectively aiding the pro gay marriage side of the debate. Some noticeable characteristics that showed to help Wahls in his argument during his speech include his hand gestures that drew the listener in to each sentence, his eye contact towards every direction of the audience, and his strong emphasis on different parts of sentences. I believe one of the major factors in Wahls powerful speech was that he was talking about an issue close to his heart. It was easy to believe that he was emotionally attached to the topic of gay marriage, and was very passionate about his side of the argument. He talked from personal experience of living under a gay marriage couple; Walhs was not only able to give first hand experience, but was also able to prove how he was an example of a extremely successful child of a same sex marriage. Overall Wahls presented an extremely powerful speech that will continue to benefit the argument with same sex marriage.

The journal entry is more weighted towards increasing animal rights. By using specific examples, and explaining the different types of protesters, the writer explains what is needed for animal rights to be increased. This is a very informative journal; it does not list facts like my previous source, but it explains the politics and the backstage action of animal rights movement. Overall it was incredibly interesting reading about the work behind animal right policy m  I found the writers arguments very strong, and they will be very helpful when writing my research essay.

This source summarizes the main facts behind animal rights. By including graphs, statistics and viewpoints from different sides of the argument, this article clearly outlines major issues that are being dealt with within the animal rights debate. By comparing rights of farm animals, product tested animals, medical research animals, and hunting animals, this article provides the reader with a wide range of views on different aspects of animal lives. By comparing animal life needs to human life needs, the source allows the reader to weigh the argument and even put it into play within their own lives.    I believe this article will be extremely helpful in the making of my research essay because of the information it provides from both sides of the debate.

Daniel J. Solove discusses the major arguments for security and explains the reasons why our privacy should not be exploited. One argument against security that particularly stood out was the idea that our key identity features (fingerprints, eyes scans) will be held in a database, which is potentially accessible to any hackers across the country. In this security measure the government will hold information that cannot be changed for a person. Solove explained how once your eye scan or fingerprint is stolen you cannot do anything to change it; you cannot replace your eyes or fingers. Personally, I would not want this personal of information be the key to leaving and entering countries. The risk is too high to be depending on something so valuable as our form of “passport”. Although security measures are necessary in order for the world to be protected, the government needs to stay within the boundaries allowing a certain level of privacy to key identity features.
